Role Overview

Healthie is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own patient billing, invoices, statements, balances, payments, refunds, and underlying ledgers in NYC. This full-time hybrid position is ideal for an experienced product leader with a deep instinct for how money-moving systems function and fail.

Key Responsibilities

Own the financial life cycle of a visit for patients and practices, covering invoices, statements, balances, payments, and refunds.
Ensure that patients can easily understand bills and pay them in a few taps while billers can reconcile accounts rapidly.
Build deep, trusted relationships with third-party partners powering parts of the financial ecosystem.
Leverage modern AI-powered development tools, embrace automation, and adopt AI-assisted engineering practices to increase velocity and quality.
Make foundational product decisions that impact the platform for years to come, designing a seamless experience where every dollar can be explained.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in product management.
Minimum of 2 years owning billing, payments, ledgers, or other systems where correctness has financial or regulatory consequences.
Shipped products that move or account for money, such as billing and invoicing, payments, ledgers, subscriptions, marketplace payouts, or accounting integrations.
Track record of owning a roadmap, making evidence-based prioritization decisions, and thinking in objects, states, and transitions.
Technical fluency to read API documentation, reason about system behavior, and hold design tradeoff conversations with staff engineers.
AI fluency, utilizing modern AI tools and knowing how to catch mistakes made by agents.
Strong alignment with Healthie values including respect, resilience, reliability, and no ego.
U.S. work authorization is required as Healthie does not provide sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Healthcare billing exposure such as patient responsibility, superbills, or working with a revenue cycle team.
Familiarity with modern payment infrastructure like Stripe, Adyen, or Plaid, including handling disputes, refunds, payouts, and reconciliation.
Experience designing consumer-facing checkout, bill-pay, or statement experiences that improved collection rates.
Background working with double-entry accounting concepts or products that survived a finance team audit.
Experience building billing or payments products on an API or platform.
