Role Overview

monday.com seeks a Senior Illustrator & visual designer to join the Product Design Foundation Team. The selected candidate will define the visual language and character of the platform, incorporating AI tools to scale illustration assets for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

Translate strategy and text into clear visual narratives.
Develop and expand the company illustration style for diverse application scenarios.
Utilize AI tools and techniques to generate concepts, moving between low-fidelity sketches and polished illustrations.
Apply product thinking to visuals and document standards through guidelines.
Establish relationships between illustration, typography, photography, and iconography.
Deliver art direction for two-dimensional and three-dimensional artifacts, including AI agent character design.
Produce storyboards and illustrations intended for subsequent animation.
Bridge visual communication between product and brand groups.

Requirements

Minimum of four years working as a visual designer, illustrator, or in a related capacity, supported by a diverse portfolio.
Expertise in core visual fundamentals such as color theory, composition, shape language, and visual storytelling.
Background in digital product design, ensuring illustrations function effectively within actual software interfaces across scales and states.
Experience establishing and documenting scalable illustration frameworks, guidelines, and components.
Operational knowledge of software and AI platforms including Figma, Illustrator, Midjourney, Weavy, or comparable systems.
Capability to distill complex or vague briefs into straightforward visual concepts.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
