Role Overview

MaintainX is looking for a Senior Product Designer, AI to shape the future of its AI-first product experience. In this full-time role, the professional will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to transform complex industrial workflows into intuitive tools for frontline workers. The position requires taking ownership of end-to-end design across both web and mobile environments, spanning from initial problem framing to high-fidelity delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design lifecycle for AI-powered product surfaces across web and mobile platforms.
Craft intuitive AI experiences for frontline users such as maintenance technicians and facility managers to simplify workflows.
Transform fast-moving and ambiguous AI problem spaces into clear, testable design solutions in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Think in systems by identifying patterns, building for reuse, and contributing to the design system with an emphasis on scalability and high craft.
Communicate design rationale clearly, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and maintain rigorous quality standards across the entire product lifecycle.
Integrate AI tools directly into personal design processes to accelerate output and elevate quality.

Requirements

Bring six or more years of professional product design experience within enterprise platforms or B2B SaaS environments.
Demonstrate hands-on experience designing AI-driven features like predictive insights, agents, and natural language interfaces for real-world users.
Exhibit exceptional interaction and visual design skills, featuring a strong eye for layout, typography, motion, spacing, and color.
Act as a systems thinker capable of spotting patterns and scaling design decisions effectively.
Possess excellent storytelling and communication skills to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functional colleagues.
Maintain an expert level of written and spoken English to collaborate across teams and present to executive stakeholders.
