Role Overview

As a Senior Product Designer at Dust, you will own entire product areas from discovery through delivery, crafting experiences for a platform used daily by top companies like Datadog, 1Password, and Cursor. You will operate in an office-first culture in the heart of Paris, working alongside a lean team with alumni from Stripe, Square, and OpenAI. You will tackle ambiguous challenges, define new product categories where established design patterns do not yet exist, and see your work scale rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end product areas, taking charge of problem definition, solution exploration, design shipping, and impact measurement.
Lead product discovery initiatives by interacting with users, analyzing behavior, and framing complex problems into actionable design paths.
Create exceptional user interfaces that successfully balance simplicity with robust functionality within a complex, AI-driven product ecosystem.
Partner closely with engineering teams to comprehend technical constraints, evaluate possibilities, and guide implementation decisions.
Present design concepts clearly to build stakeholder conviction and advocate strongly for user needs across cross-functional groups.
Contribute outside of traditional design boundaries when necessary, stepping into research, prototyping, branding, or light coding.
Mentor and raise the bar for less experienced designers with a collaborative, ego-free mindset.

Requirements

5+ years of total product design experience, including a minimum of 2 years focused on complex B2B or technical products.
Strong product thinking and discovery skills, with the ability to frame design problems by weighing user needs, business constraints, and technical realities.
Exceptional UI craft and execution, demonstrating systems thinking and an ability to balance aesthetics with usability.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining the reasoning behind design decisions and handling feedback constructively.
Familiarity with technical environments and comfort working directly alongside engineering teams.
A generalist mindset with a willingness to handle tasks outside of pure design, such as research, prototyping, or light coding.
Preference for candidates with prior startup experience in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
