Scale AI is seeking a Senior Product Design Manager, Enterprise to lead and grow the enterprise design team in New York, NY. This position is ideal for an experienced design leader passionate about shaping human-in-the-loop AI systems and simplifying complex enterprise workflows.

Role Overview

As the Senior Product Design Manager for Enterprise, this position sets the strategic vision and design direction for Scale's Applications customers and expert contributors. The individual in this role will build, lead, and mentor a growing team of designers while establishing the operational rhythms and culture necessary for high-quality output. Working directly with Product and Engineering partners, the manager ensures design is integrated throughout the product lifecycle, from initial problem scoping to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Define the overarching design vision and establish what exceptional enterprise design means for high-stakes decision-makers and platform contributors.
Own the hiring, mentorship, daily guidance, and career development for a growing team of product designers.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to set priorities and drive seamless design execution across the enterprise product suite.
Maintain high craft standards, inspiring designers to rethink how people interact with AI rather than simply digitizing existing workflows.
Champion the adoption and contribution of shared design systems to ensure coherent, rapid product building.
Establish robust research habits and user-centered design cadences rooted in actual enterprise customer and user needs.
Shape emerging interaction patterns for human-agent collaboration where trust and usability are critical.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience managing product design teams.
Demonstrated success in simplifying data-dense, power-user workflows into elegant solutions for B2B environments or similar sectors.
Deeply customer-centric mindset with a history of grounding design decisions in user feedback and tangible business impact.
Familiarity with modern AI tooling, practice shifts, and building AI-native workflows for design teams.
Experience designing for agentic platforms and human-in-the-loop systems.
Ability to balance speed and quality through ruthless prioritization without sacrificing design craft.
Exceptional communication skills capable of engaging front-line product managers and executive leaders effectively.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position in New York is $233,600 to $292,000 USD, which may vary based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance. Eligible roles also receive equity-based compensation subject to board approval.
