Role Overview

MaintainX is hiring a full-time Senior Product Data Scientist to join the Product Analytics team in San Francisco. This role suits an experienced data professional ready to establish rigorous experimentation and machine learning standards for a leading mobile-first work execution platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute product experiments such as A/B tests and causal inference methods to improve product retention and adoption.
Create and implement machine learning models, including random forests, gradient boosted machines, and logistic regression, converting product data into actionable choices.
Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and design teams to frame business challenges as analytical tasks.
Communicate complex data findings and experimental outcomes into straightforward business narratives for executive leadership.
Set standard methodologies for machine learning processes and product experimentation.

Requirements

Holds a Senior Data Scientist or Senior Product Data Scientist title with five to seven years of related professional experience.
Practical background in product experimentation, statistical significance, and causal inference.
Fluent in Python, utilizing tools like scikit-learn and MLflow.
Demonstrated history of developing machine learning models including linear regression, logistic regression, random forests, and GBMs.
Previous professional exposure within B2B or B2C SaaS environments.
Exceptional cross-functional communication abilities working alongside engineers, product managers, and designers.
Strong executive presence capable of turning technical model results into actionable insights for vice presidents.

Nice to Have

Practical experience using Databricks.
Familiarity with event analytics software such as Amplitude.
