Key Responsibilities
Architect and evolve a highly scalable, multi-tenant AI and machine learning platform that unifies traditional machine learning and generative AI or large language model orchestration.
Design and implement production-grade AI agents, advanced chatbots, and reliable execution environments for multi-agent systems including state management and long-term memory architectures.
Build high-throughput, low-latency application backends and orchestration layers while partnering closely with data, platform, and full-stack engineering teams.
Act as a technical anchor for the data science team by enforcing engineering standards, leading design reviews, and evaluating build-versus-buy choices.
Evaluate trade-offs and drive the adoption of modern AI infrastructure tools, optimized embedding pipelines, vector databases, and serverless compute paradigms.
Requirements
Extensive professional experience as a senior or lead machine learning engineer with a track record of operating production-grade machine learning platforms and distributed backends.
Strong competency in traditional machine learning lifecycles alongside deep experience in generative AI patterns such as RAG pipelines, context engineering, fine-tuning, and agentic AI systems.
Mastery of Python and robust experience utilizing modern backend ecosystems.
A builder's mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity, shaping technical roadmaps, and taking ownership of system reliability, costs, and model performance.
Nice to Have
Three or more years of dedicated machine learning engineering experience within a large-scale enterprise environment handling petabyte-scale data.
Proven ability to architect and secure distributed systems, mentor engineers, and drive complex projects through ambiguous spaces.
Hands-on proficiency in building generative AI applications using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or Autogen, alongside LLMOps foundations.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, and public cloud ecosystems including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Familiarity with MLOps platform tools such as Airflow, Argo Workflows, and data systems like BigQuery and Postgres.
Experience with full-stack web technologies and serverless environments like FastAPI, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Cloudflare Workers.
A Master of Science or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
