Scale AI is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for its Global Public Sector team based in Doha, Qatar. This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys collaborating directly with public sector clients to build impactful artificial intelligence solutions.

Role Overview

The Global Public Sector team at Scale AI focuses on deploying artificial intelligence to solve critical challenges for governments worldwide. As a Forward Deployed Full-Stack Software Engineer, the selected professional will work alongside public sector partners to design and deliver custom artificial intelligence applications. The position involves spending up to two weeks each month inside client offices to gather feedback, guide delivery, and help transform public sector operations using modern technology.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with public sector clients to scope problems, collect feedback, and implement tailored software solutions, including spending up to two weeks per month in client offices.
Design production-grade applications that seamlessly blend artificial intelligence models with full-stack frameworks, managing interactive user interfaces, backend application programming interfaces, and underlying systems.
Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure to guarantee top levels of system security, integrity, scalability, and long-term reliability.
Build core platform features intended for reuse across a variety of international client use cases.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and data engineering teams to construct solid applications that match broader technical architectures.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field of study.
Bring at least five years of professional post-graduation full-stack engineering experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Possess hands-on experience utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Exhibit a proven capability to architect scalable, production-grade applications while managing cloud infrastructure health.
Demonstrate past experience working directly inside customer environments to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot end-to-end solutions.
Maintain a self-starting mindset capable of navigating ambiguous requirements with technical maturity and strong asynchronous communication habits.
Understand the generative artificial intelligence landscape and have experience building solutions powered by large language models.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in the Arabic language.
Previous professional background in a forward-deployed engineer or dedicated customer engineer capacity.
Cross-functional experience working alongside operations teams.
