Senior Engineer - Enterprise Architecture
About this role
Designing and running rapid experiments to test emerging artificial intelligence capabilities against real internal use cases forms the core of daily operations. Working within the Enterprise Architecture group, the person in this role partners with Internal Engineering and other internal divisions to explore, prototype, and validate new technological concepts before they enter formal product roadmaps. Responsibilities include building lightweight prototypes, maintaining rigorous technical documentation, and handing off validated solutions to platform and product teams.
Operating successfully in ambiguous environments requires sound technical judgment, comfort with rapid iteration when requirements remain unclear, and the ability to independently solve complex engineering challenges. Candidates must possess significant professional software engineering experience, alongside hands-on prototyping exposure with large language models or agentic systems. Ideal team members combine strong cross-functional communication abilities with a deep curiosity for tracking emerging tooling beyond mainstream adoption.
What you will do
- Design and execute experiments that evaluate emerging artificial intelligence capabilities against practical internal use cases prior to formal roadmap prioritization.
- Develop lightweight prototypes to quickly validate or invalidate engineering concepts.
- Monitor developments in new artificial intelligence tools and models, translating relevant findings into concrete internal proof points.
- Collaborate closely with product, platform, and internal engineering divisions to transition validated capabilities into production pipelines.
- Maintain high technical rigor and clear documentation of research outcomes, regardless of whether the project ultimately ships.
- Identify and articulate potential risks, unknowns, and open architectural questions to relevant stakeholders.
What you need
- Bring six or more years of professional software engineering experience to the team.
- Demonstrate deep proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Typescript, Go, or Rust.
- Possess strong technical judgment with the ability to independently resolve complex engineering problems.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Operate effectively within ambiguity by scoping and executing experiments when clear approaches are not yet defined.
- Show hands-on experience prototyping with large language models or agentic systems including evaluations, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, and orchestration frameworks.
Nice to have
- Experience building and maintaining full-stack applications from front-end user interfaces to backend APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience designing systems or services utilized by other engineers or teams.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Tanstack Start, Next.js, FastAPI, or React.
- Familiarity with model evaluation frameworks, vector databases, or agent orchestration tooling like LangGraph.
- Familiarity with transformer architecture, model internals, containerized applications, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline design.
Benefits
- Employee affinity groups
- Fertility assistance
- Generous parental leave policy

Questions candidates ask
Where is the role located and what is the remote policy?
Candidates must be based in Gurugram for a hybrid working model.
What will I work on in the Enterprise Architecture team?
You will join a focused team dedicated to AI experimentation, partnering across the organization to explore, prototype, and validate emerging AI capabilities before they become formal roadmap priorities.
What are the early expectations for success in this position?
In three months, you will have run and documented at least one AI capability experiment with a clear recommendation on how to proceed, and demonstrated the ability to move quickly from idea to working prototype. Within six months, you will have influenced the organization's roadmap or tooling direction by surfacing a capability two to three steps ahead of current needs.
