Role Overview

As Kong moves toward an IPO and enterprise expansion, the financial systems must transition from basic operational tools into strategic business enablers. The chosen leader will define and execute the roadmap for a resilient, scalable, and AI-enabled finance platform. This role delivers trusted financial data, robust controls, and streamlined operations to support a public company environment while partnering with cross-functional teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the strategy, administration, and roadmap for core financial systems like NetSuite, Celigo, Brex, Pigment, and Zip to ensure reliability and scalability.
Build and govern mission-critical integrations connecting enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, and Ashby for seamless data flow.
Implement strong governance, monitoring, and controls to maintain data integrity, support audit readiness, and ensure SOX-compliant processes.
Spearhead AI-driven transformation within the finance department through intelligent automation that reduces manual tasks and enhances reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Revenue Operations, HR, and IT teams to translate complex business needs into scalable system solutions.
Direct enterprise-wide finance technology initiatives including vendor evaluations, software implementations, upgrades, and system migrations.
Manage a strong support framework featuring clear service level agreements, proactive problem solving, and effective vendor partnerships.

Requirements

Twelve or more years of progressive experience leading finance systems within high-growth software-as-a-service enterprises.
Demonstrated track record of scaling financial platforms through rapid revenue milestones, ideally from $100M to $750M+ ARR.
Extensive hands-on experience administering NetSuite alongside integration platforms like Celigo, Workato, or Boomi.
Background in implementing and integrating diverse applications across ERP, FP&A, procurement, spend management, CRM, and HRIS domains.
Proven capability in building and delivering AI-powered automation solutions that generate measurable improvements in daily finance operations.
Strong SQL proficiency and analytical expertise to independently investigate data challenges and guarantee financial output accuracy.
Exceptional cross-functional communication abilities with a history of influencing executive stakeholders across business units.
