Key Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, product managers, and internal teams to address business and product challenges using predictive analytics in a globally distributed environment.
Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to improve data collection, data quality, and understand the existing data landscape and tech stack.
Align analysis efforts with business and product strategy to provide actionable data insights and help achieve strategic goals.
Deliver audience-focused presentations and storytelling that communicate key takeaways in a crisp and concise manner.
Define, implement, and train statistical, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI models.
Apply software engineering best practices to publish model scores, insights, and learnings at scale within the company.
Identify macro and micro-level trends with statistical significance and understand the key drivers behind them.
Take an active role in hiring, growing, and mentoring the data scientist team in Austin.

Requirements

Master of Science or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
Minimum of 5 years of data scientist experience with proven industry experience in a large-scale, globally distributed environment processing petabyte-scale data.
Strong experience working with business functions such as Finance, Sales, and Marketing to build models that drive impactful outcomes like customer and revenue growth.
Strong experience in scientific computing using Python.
Experience working with Spark, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics, and BigQuery or other big data and cloud equivalents.
Experience working with and processing structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with data engineering and data analyst teams.
Proven track record of applying data insights and machine learning to address business needs and drive revenue.
Proficiency in large language models and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph for implementing GenAI applications like AI agents and chatbots.
Strong communication and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

2+ years of experience working with a fast-growing SaaS business.
Experience in hiring data scientists and establishing team best practices.
