Role Overview

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer for the Hong Kong market to act as a trusted technical advisor and drive the technical go-to-market strategy. Operating within the GTM organization, this role owns the technical relationship with customers through discovery, implementation, ongoing adoption, and expansion. The position features a quota tied directly to new business acquisition and account growth, utilizing AI-augmented workflows to handle routine tasks and maximize focus on high-value architectural design.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, construct bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts across Cloudflare's security, networking, and developer platforms.
Maintain continuous engagement with key stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle, steering onboarding, renewals, account growth, and strategic alignment with business goals.
Carry a variable sales quota linked to revenue retention, platform adoption, and identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities derived from usage telemetry.
Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews with C-level executives to connect platform capabilities directly to business return on investment.
Utilize AI agents and internal platforms to automate administrative duties like sandbox provisioning, telemetry monitoring, and security questionnaire responses.

Requirements

Background in a customer-facing technical capacity such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Customer Engineering.
Broad technical knowledge encompassing web security, enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and networking fundamentals including routing, DNS, and DDoS mitigation.
Commercial mindset demonstrating familiarity with SaaS metrics, enterprise sales cycles, and operating in a revenue-aligned or quota-carrying environment.
Exceptional presentation and communication abilities to translate deep technical details for executive business leadership.
Bilingual language skills in both English and Cantonese to effectively support the Hong Kong customer base.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for writing API connectors, custom integration scripts, and edge computing functions.

Nice to Have

Practical experience building or architecting solutions using Cloudflare's developer platform and AI ecosystem, particularly Workers AI and AI Gateway.
Applied knowledge of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, or Large Language Model orchestration.
