The Senior AI Product Manager, Cybersecurity role at Scale AI involves building and leading a brand new product line focused on security data, evaluation environments, and agentic tasks in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. This position suits an experienced professional with deep cybersecurity expertise and product vision who wants to shape how frontier models are trained and measured for security tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Build and execute the strategy for the cybersecurity portfolio, spanning training data, reinforcement learning environments, and evaluation products from scratch.
Define capability maps covering vulnerability discovery, exploit reproduction, patch generation, secure code review, and incident triage.
Collaborate with machine learning researchers and security experts to design task specifications, verifiable rewards, and reproducible execution environments.
Direct infrastructure roadmaps for sandboxed execution, vulnerability images, automated verification, and scalable sourcing pipelines.
Manage responsible development policies, including containment, coordinated vulnerability disclosures, sensitive artifact handling, and customer vetting.
Cultivate a contributor network of active practitioners like malware analysts and incident responders while establishing rigorous data quality and IP hygiene governance.
Partner with frontier labs, enterprise clients, and external open-source groups to translate model security failures into actionable product roadmaps.

Requirements

Over 5 years of professional background in product management, technical program management, consulting, technical customer-facing roles, or equivalent practitioner depth.
Direct working background in cybersecurity, such as vulnerability research, fuzzing, exploit development, malware analysis, red teaming, or incident response.
Strong understanding of the AI-for-security evaluation landscape including tools like CyberGym and Cybench.
Software engineering competence to read unfamiliar code, evaluate runtime behavior, and engage effectively with senior engineers.
Familiarity with model post-training, evaluation methods, agentic scaffolds, and container-based rollout infrastructure.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
