About this role

Role Overview

Roboflow is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join the Infrastructure Team and oversee security across the entire stack from low-level cloud configurations to high-level application logic. This full-time role is suited for an experienced security professional with a background in software or infrastructure engineering who prefers treating security as an engineering challenge rather than a simple compliance task. Candidates can work from hubs in San Francisco or New York, or remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Secure everything across the entire stack, including cloud clusters, software-as-a-service integrations, and developer workflows.
Formulate and execute a vision for security tailored to the era of large language models.
Build internal tools and continuous integration and continuous deployment automations to catch vulnerabilities prior to production release.
Direct threat modeling sessions and secure code reviews to ensure secure-by-default APIs and deployments.
Harden authentication and access control across all internal and external surfaces using a first-principles approach.
Proactively probe for system vulnerabilities, lead remediation efforts, and launch and manage a Bug Bounty Program.
Investigate vulnerabilities, spearhead incident response, organize penetration testing, and conduct blameless postmortems.
Translate complex security risks into clear engineering tasks that collaborate smoothly with peers.

Requirements

Bring six or more years of professional experience in software or infrastructure engineering combined with a deep focus on security.
Demonstrate deep familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Exhibit strong systems thinking capabilities to analyze weaknesses hidden within business logic, identity and access management configurations, or codebases.
Show a strong action-oriented track record of responding to real-world incidents and leading remediation without acting as a blocker.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a 100 to 300 person startup setup.
