Role Overview

As a Research Advisor within the Human Frontier Collective (HFC), the incumbent contributes elite-level consultancy to shape generative AI systems. Operating on a flexible schedule of approximately five to twenty hours per week, the advisor collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate domain expertise into computable evaluation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver senior advisory services and model governance regarding domain-specific logic and model behavior.
Partner with product, research, and go-to-market teams to design small-scale tasks for frontier model evaluation.
Engage with executive clients and represent the organization as a Subject Matter Expert during sales cycles and conferences.
Create premier technical content and strategic go-to-market assets to position the company as an industry leader.
Co-author technical reports and research papers alongside the internal research team.
Participate actively in the interdisciplinary HFC community of industry leaders and researchers.

Requirements

Possess at least five years of relevant industry experience operating at the top of the respective field.
Hold a bachelor's, master's, PhD, MD/DO, or JD degree depending on the specific domain expertise.
Finance candidates must include IB, PE, VC, or consulting C-suite, VPs, Directors, or senior personnel from top-tier firms.
Legal candidates must include partners, senior counsel at V100 firms, former federal or SCOTUS clerks, or senior associates with active bar membership.
Medical candidates must include board-certified MDs with a minimum of five years of post-residency experience from premier academic hospitals.
Demonstrate research experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a keen interest in interdisciplinary AI applications.
