Cognition is seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales to launch and scale its operations in Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney with remote flexibility, this full-time executive role suits a seasoned leader ready to build the regional business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate and expand Cognition's presence in the ANZ region as the primary senior leader on the ground.
Take full ownership of the local profit and loss, hiring needs, operational execution, and overall performance.
Construct and manage a high-achieving local workforce spanning sales, operations, customer success, engineering, and support.
Secure strategic commercial and government alliances with major enterprises across Australia and New Zealand.
Handle complete sales cycles, closing complex agreements independently and alongside channel partners.
Coordinate closely with global executives to tailor product-market alignment for the local region.
Serve as the external brand representative within the technology and business community of ANZ.
Formulate repeatable internal workflows dedicated to client onboarding, successful implementation, and retention.
Relay vital localization and feature requests back to the product and engineering departments.

Requirements

At least ten years of executive leadership background specifically within the ANZ market.
Demonstrated history of introducing and growing operations for emerging technology businesses offering disruptive software.
Established network and familiarity concerning the enterprise and government verticals in Australia and New Zealand.
Extensive background in direct enterprise sales, go-to-market strategies, and partnership development.
Capability to balance high-level strategic planning with direct, hands-on execution.
Track record of recruiting and mentoring top-tier cross-functional personnel from inception.
Genuine enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology and transforming modern work methods.

Nice to Have

Prior background working with artificial intelligence, enterprise SaaS, or developer-focused tooling.
Past experience within product-led organizations or engineering environments.
