Role Overview

The Reddit Community Manager will lead OpenArt's entire Reddit strategy, transforming the platform into a powerful organic growth channel. This role suits someone who loves experimenting, deeply understands internet culture, and wants to connect a rapidly growing AI creative platform with millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Build OpenArt’s Reddit presence completely from scratch, turning our subreddit into an active, thriving hub for AI creators.
Set ambitious weekly and monthly growth targets while executing rapid experiments across content, community programs, and user acquisition.
Design recurring community formats, challenges, showcases, AMAs, and competitions to encourage organic participation and member retention.
Participate genuinely in relevant AI, design, video, and creator subreddits to add real value rather than just dropping links.
Act as the eyes and ears of the company by gathering user feedback, feature requests, and sentiment analysis to share directly with the product team.
Identify and support active members and power users who can become long-term community advocates.

Requirements

Deep understanding of Reddit culture, humor, unwritten rules, and community dynamics.
Proven experience growing communities, audiences, social accounts, or organic acquisition channels.
Growth-oriented mindset with comfort in running independent experiments and managing failures.
Excellent, natural English writing skills with the ability to communicate like a real person rather than a corporate account.
Strong knowledge and interest in generative AI and the broader AI creative space.
Ability to move quickly, take full ownership, and execute ideas independently without waiting for constant direction.

Nice to Have

Personally grown a subreddit, Reddit account, or online community from zero.
Track record of growing an organic channel with measurable traffic or user acquisition.
Familiarity with AI image or video creation tools and using AI to accelerate workflows.
Knowledge of Reddit search, Google visibility, and how content ranks outside of Reddit.
Experience working with creators, ambassadors, affiliates, or user-generated content (UGC) programs.
Basic ability to create simple memes, graphics, GIFs, or videos.
