Shift Technology needs a skilled Project Manager within the Delivery team to oversee these deployments, turning initial scoping into scalable, long-term success while anticipating risks. Operating in a hybrid model out of Boston, the person in this role will act as the cornerstone between technical groups and client organizations to ensure measurable value is delivered.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating with technical program management to align product roadmaps with project plans, translating complex healthcare requirements for diverse audiences, and managing client relationships with data and emotional intelligence. Success in this position requires a structured yet flexible approach to methodology, comfort with healthcare claims data, and the professional courage to address delivery challenges directly without drama.
What you will do
- Take proactive ownership of project milestones and resolve blockers quickly to keep delivery on track.
- Coordinate with the technical program management team to ensure alignment between the product roadmap and project plan.
- Translate technical and healthcare business requirements into clear language for internal teams, customers, and C-level stakeholders.
- Manage complex client relationships by balancing hard project data with emotional intelligence.
- Experiment with new project management methods and share learnings to help the delivery organization improve speed and quality.
- Address delivery challenges directly and objectively, focusing on collaborative solutions rather than placing blame.
- Ensure projects are delivered fully and meet agreed-upon standards before closure and transition into ongoing operations.
What you need
- Bring at least 5 years of technical project management experience within a consulting or SaaS company.
- Possess experience working in the US healthcare industry with health plan clients, understanding their workflows and systems.
- Hold a PMP or comparable nationally recognized project management certification.
- Understand the US healthcare payer environment and effectively partner with stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and data functions.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of healthcare claims data and payer operational processes.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
