Reporting to the Head of Business Communications, the person hired will own the business-to-business product story across various media channels. Responsibilities include leading messaging for major platform launches, translating complex technical developments into clear business value, and developing ongoing editorial programs grounded in customer proof. Success requires partnering closely with product, research, marketing, and sales groups to substantiate claims and guide senior stakeholders under tight timeframes.
What you will do
- Establish product positioning by connecting new capabilities to customer needs and the evidence behind company claims.
- Manage business storytelling for key product launches across developer capabilities, enterprise products, and related offerings.
- Develop a sustained editorial program between launches using customer stories, explainers, and executive perspectives.
- Translate technical product updates into clear and accurate narratives for enterprise buyers and builders.
- Cultivate relationships with reporters and key voices in enterprise technology to secure ongoing media coverage.
- Drive execution for product launches from early messaging and spokesperson preparation to post-launch evaluation.
- Advise senior partners on enterprise messaging and help cross-functional teams make sound decisions rapidly.
What you need
- Extensive background in communicating complex enterprise technology in terms of business needs and outcomes.
- Demonstrated history of leading major product launches and sustaining a durable market narrative between events.
- Exceptional writing ability with a focus on explaining technical concepts clearly without excessive jargon.
- Strong judgment regarding enterprise buyer requirements, customer evidence, and future product ambition.
- Confidence in collaborating with senior leadership and driving teams to consensus under high-pressure conditions.
- Capability to transition smoothly from strategic planning to hands-on execution while maintaining audience curiosity.

You will work closely with Product, Research, Marketing, Sales, and the central Product Communications team. The role reports directly to the Head of Business Communications.

You will lead business storytelling for priority launches across Codex, ChatGPT Work, API and developer capabilities, agents, and other enterprise products.
What does the day-to-day work involve?
This is an exceptionally fast-paced, hands-on role that spans every altitude of communications. You will move from setting strategic positioning to writing launch materials, developing media pitches, and building sustained editorial programs.
What is the compensation for this position?
The salary range for this role is $297K to $330K and includes offers of equity.
