Role Overview

MaintainX is seeking a Principal Product Manager for a full-time, hybrid position based in Toronto. This role suits an experienced product leader with a deep background in AI infrastructure who wants to own the company's internal AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire end-to-end roadmap for LLMX while tracking metrics like adoption, latency, cost, evaluation coverage, and integration speed.
Design core platform primitives that enable next-generation agentic features, covering routing agents, skill orchestration, agent memory, conversation compaction, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Direct the evaluation infrastructure of the platform, incorporating online eval monitoring, agent gating, and dataset promotion to maintain quality at scale.
Collaborate across the entire product organization to anticipate upcoming agentic requirements before they create bottlenecks.
Evaluate and execute build versus buy versus integrate strategies for models, infrastructure, and providers while keeping pace with advancements in agentic AI and LLMs.

Requirements

Bring ten or more years of professional product management experience, specifically focusing on developer platforms, ML infrastructure, or AI platforms.
Demonstrate a track record of launching production AI services that internal teams successfully adopted and trusted.
Possess informed perspectives regarding model selection, agentic architectures, latency and cost optimization, evaluation frameworks, and the trade-offs between RAG and fine-tuning.
Demonstrate the capability to balance the needs of internal development teams with the outcomes required by enterprise buyers.
Apply a data-driven approach by utilizing metrics, platform instrumentation, and evaluations to measure quality.
Maintain a disciplined approach to tracking developments in LLMs and agentic AI without chasing every new release.
