Role Overview

The Principal Partner Engineer, APAC is a strategic technical sales leadership role based in Sydney, Australia, operating in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities

Own the technical relationship with partners to align on building joint Go-To-Market strategies and accelerate partner technical capabilities.
Drive the end-to-end Technical Account Plan for assigned strategic partners, acting as the primary architect mapping business goals to technical execution milestones.
Identify, enable, and cultivate key technical advocates and champions within partner organizations to scale Cloudflare expertise independently.
Collaborate with sales teams to proactively source, qualify, and expand Partner-Influenced Opportunity revenue through strategic architectural alignment.
Own the accelerated services delivery partner journey to ensure partners possess advanced capabilities required to deploy, manage, and support platform and AI application workloads.
Build and co-develop joint services catalogues with key partners to accelerate the creation and launch of Cloudflare-focused services offerings.
Champion the use of autonomous AI tools to automate standard, repeatable technical tasks and optimize operational efficiency.
Engage partner champions in the Partner Technical Advisory Council to give early access to beta software and capture raw product feedback.

Requirements

Possess 13 or more years of technical, partner-facing experience as a Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Manager within cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or networking.
Demonstrate strong technical depth in Cloudflare One or equivalent SASE and SSE architectures, Zero Trust, DNS, and application security.
Bring hands-on familiarity with AI deployment, AI Gateway, LLM orchestration frameworks, or vector databases.
Show a proven track record of developing technical talent or building champion programs within partner organizations, specifically driving complex cloud networks and AI technologies.
Possess a deep understanding of enterprise IT, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments while managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Display a demonstrated ability to manage the technical lifecycle of a deal from initial pre-sales discovery through post-sale service delivery.
Exhibit strong communication skills with a track record of presenting complex architectures and AI-driven use cases to leadership and technical teams.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
