Role Overview
The People Operations Manager position at Rogo is a full-time, on-site role located in New York City that requires over five years of professional experience. This opportunity is well-suited for an ambitious and autonomous HR professional eager to establish foundational employee experiences at a fast-growing enterprise artificial intelligence startup.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and enhance the new hire onboarding experience to ensure clarity, personalization, and operational efficiency.
Oversee execution of performance review cycles, providing resources and guidance to team members.
Administer employee engagement surveys, communicate results, and analyze feedback.
Maintain and improve the HR technology stack, managing systems, integrations, and automations.
Track employee lifecycle changes such as promotions, role modifications, and offboarding within data management workflows.
Administer employee benefit programs through the company PEO platform.
Ensure ongoing adherence to applicable employment laws, regulations, and workplace documentation standards.
Design and execute culture initiatives, team engagement activities, and employee recognition programs.
Update and maintain internal resource libraries, wikis, and team-wide communication plans.
Act as a trusted operational partner to people managers by providing guidance on performance feedback and daily management topics.
Collaborate across departments with Finance, Legal, Leadership, and Recruiting on internal projects and operational enhancements.
Requirements
Minimum of five years of professional background working in People Operations, HR program management, or HR operations.
Proven track record of independently designing and launching structured internal programs and processes.
Advanced project management capabilities to handle complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from start to finish.
Demonstrated hands-on experience managing HR technology tools, workflows, and process automations.
High attention to detail paired with strict confidentiality when managing sensitive information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside strong emotional intelligence and empathy.
Proactive work ethic characterized by independent problem-solving and rapid adaptability in a dynamic startup setting.
