Role Overview

Cohere is seeking a technical professional to design and implement novel research concepts, deliver advanced models into production, and maintain strong ties to academia and government sectors. Key Responsibilities

Build, design, and scale agentic AI systems that serve mission-critical applications.
Experiment with, research, and implement innovative ideas using advanced supercompute and data infrastructure.
Collaborate and learn alongside leading researchers within the artificial intelligence field.
Navigate the entire artificial intelligence stack to deliver products serving the public interest.

Requirements

Canadian citizenship along with eligibility to obtain security clearance.
Exceptional software engineering capabilities.
Strong proficiency using Python and associated machine learning frameworks.
Practical background in training, evaluating, and utilizing large language models.
Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed GPU training strategies for large language models.

Nice to Have

Published papers at premier venues including NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AIStats, MLSys, JMLR, AAAI, Nature, COLING, ACL, or EMNLP.

Salary and Benefits

Annual salary ranging from $295,000 to $535,000 CAD.
Weekly lunch stipend of $75 or local currency equivalent.
