Role Overview

The Member of Product Staff, Clinical Decision Support role at Generative AI for Clinical Conversations is a senior individual contributor position based in the SF Office with remote flexibility. This role suits an experienced product leader ready to drive the strategy, development, and expansion of chat-based clinical assistants for healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end Clinical Decision Support (CDS) strategy, roadmap, vision, sequencing, and success metrics across web, mobile, and EHR-embedded surfaces.
Oversee content and evidence strategy by partnering with Clinical Science to ensure clinical validity and quality standards.
Conduct hands-on user research by shadowing clinicians in exam rooms and observing product interactions.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and machine learning teams to ship timely and trustworthy in-workflow experiences.
Integrate deeply with Epic and other electronic health record environments using patient chart context.
Establish key performance indicators covering adoption, engagement, clinical quality, and safety.

Requirements

Bring 7 or more years of product management experience featuring significant ownership of complex, high-stakes, or AI products.
Demonstrate a track record of shipping zero-to-one products that achieved real adoption and revenue.
Possess strong product taste, user empathy, and the ability to build workflows that clinicians trust.
Exhibit comfort working with clinical, scientific, or evidence-based content requiring high accuracy.
Maintain strong technical fluency to collaborate with engineering and machine learning on quality, latency, and reliability tradeoffs.
Demonstrate the ability to make and defend build, buy, or partner decisions.

Nice to Have

Clinical, healthcare, or medical informatics experience, or a background in shipping EHR-integrated clinical workflow products.
Experience building agentic or assistant-style products that reason, retrieve, and act across tools.
Familiarity with medical content, knowledge bases, or evidence retrieval and grounding systems such as RAG.
Experience working within regulated environments featuring a high compliance bar.
