Role Overview

The Member of Data Science Staff position at Generative AI for Clinical Conversations is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to shape product strategy using data. Based out of the San Francisco office with a hybrid work model requiring three days a week in office, this full-time role suits a senior practitioner ready to influence how healthcare providers engage with patient information.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, clean, and analyze internal and external datasets to discover meaningful trends and product insights.
Monitor AI generation pipelines from internal quality checks to automated production assessments.
Identify and resolve issues highlighted by data operations monitors, tools, and reports.
Model user behavior by analyzing interactions, engagement metrics, and funnel data to enhance product features and retention.
Design and execute A/B tests to measure the success of product features and design updates.
Create metrics to evaluate AI models, identify evaluation gaps, and improve measurable outcomes.
Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn data insights into clear product priorities.
Act as a domain expert for business analytics data, explaining assumptions and metric limitations.
Fill data source gaps to continuously improve business and product understanding across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience using Python, R, and SQL for analytics.
At least 5 years working in product-facing environments, steering product outcomes via A/B testing and defining major project goals.
Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization platforms, including business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, or Sigma, alongside code-based options such as Seaborn or ggplot2.
Strong communication skills capable of translating complex quantitative findings for non-technical team members.
Experience building data capabilities through rapid growth stages while collaborating directly with data engineering and machine learning teams.
Requirement to work from the San Francisco or New York office at least three times per week.
