Role Overview

The Marketing Engineer position at fonio in Vienna places the right candidate at the intersection of data science and paid media. This full-time role suits an analytical builder who wants to create machine learning models and data pipelines from scratch to optimize marketing performance.

Key Responsibilities

Build predictive Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) modeling from the ground up by consolidating customer signals into a database and developing machine learning models on user behavior to score leads.
Feed lead scores back into advertising platforms like Meta and Google to sharpen targeting and bidding strategies.
Manage tracking and conversion infrastructure, including Tag Manager, Search Console, offline uploads, and server-side setups.
Transform raw behavioral data into measurable performance impact while collaborating closely with the Performance Marketing and Go-to-Market teams.

Requirements

Comfortable building data pipelines and machine learning models.
Python, SQL, and modern machine learning tooling must be second nature.
Sufficient understanding of paid media to recognize critical signals and how ad platforms consume them.
Analytical, structured, hardworking, and aligned with a direct, ambitious culture.
Strong English language skills, as English serves as the company language.

Nice to Have

Experience with attribution, conversion APIs, or offline conversion uploads.
German language skills are a big plus.
