About this role
Writer needs a lead product manager to untangle ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces and guide the development of enterprise generative AI agents and platforms. Operating as a force-multiplier across the product organization, this person will shape multi-quarter roadmaps, align cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure critical initiatives ship with clarity and precision.
Reporting directly to the VP of Product, the incoming manager will balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, turning evolving AI capabilities into products that enterprise customers rely on. Ideal candidates bring deep technical credibility, a customer-obsessed mindset, and a proven ability to operate autonomously across complex environments.
What you will do
- Drive high-impact product initiatives end-to-end from discovery and problem definition through launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Shape product strategy and roadmaps in partnership with leadership by translating company-level goals into sequenced bets.
- Engage directly with enterprise buyers, users, and prospects to uncover unmet needs and validate problem-solution fit.
- Partner closely with engineering and design to define requirements and navigate technical tradeoffs concerning LLMs and platform architecture.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders across go-to-market, sales, marketing, customer success, and executive leadership.
- Define and own success metrics using quantitative data and qualitative signals to evaluate impact and course-correct.
- Mentor other product managers and model best practices to strengthen a culture built on rigor, customer obsession, and velocity.
What you need
- Bring 8 or more years of product management experience with a track record of shipping complex products in SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML environments.
- Demonstrate senior- or staff-level experience operating autonomously across ambiguous, multi-team problem spaces.
- Exhibit genuine customer obsession by gathering signal from noise and designing from real user workflows.
- Possess the technical credibility to engage meaningfully with engineers on system design, LLM capabilities, and data architecture.
- Combine strong strategic thinking with relentless execution to set visions and manage release plan details.
- Communicate exceptionally well across all audiences, from frontline engineers to the executive team, without relying on org chart authority.
- Maintain a mentor's instinct and a builder's drive alongside a data-informed, outcome-driven mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience building products powered by LLMs, generative AI, or large-scale AI/ML systems
- Background in enterprise software, developer platforms, or developer-facing products
- Familiarity with AI governance, guardrails, and the operational considerations of deploying AI in regulated environments
