Role Overview

The Founding Design Engineer will manage the complete design lifecycle for key product surfaces. Working alongside product managers, engineers, researchers, and company leadership, this individual transforms early concepts into polished digital experiences. By combining deep user experience knowledge with robust front-end capabilities, the position ensures that new interfaces ship with exceptional accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product design to convert intricate workflows into clear and intuitive user interactions.
Develop user experience flows, wireframes, interaction specifications, and polished visual designs.
Conduct user research sessions, synthesize valuable insights, and validate product solutions.
Partner closely with front-end developers to guarantee high feasibility, scalability, and accessibility.
Build clean, modular design documentation and interactive prototypes using contemporary tools.
Deliver design quality assurance and expert guidance throughout the implementation phase.
Collaborate with product managers to define strategy, product scope, and user needs.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional product design experience focusing on digital products or SaaS platforms.
A comprehensive portfolio showcasing strong user experience depth, high visual quality, and previously shipped work.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies including React, TypeScript, CSS, and Tailwind.
Demonstrated ability to build interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Framer, or native code.
High ownership mindset capable of thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

Previous background working on artificial intelligence or machine learning products and complex systems.
Practical familiarity with scaling design systems.
Capacity to write production-ready front-end code.
Direct experience working inside early-stage startup environments.
