Deploy and operate open-weight large language models such as Llama, Qwen, Mistral, DeepSeek, and gpt-oss within customer-controlled cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.
Configure LiteLLM as a unified model gateway in client environments, managing routing, load balancing, retries, fallbacks, rate limits, and virtual keys.
Instrument and govern LLM usage through cost tracking, budgets, caching, guardrails, and observability tools like OpenTelemetry and Langfuse.
Design real-time model routing strategies that balance latency, cost, reliability, and language quality for Spanish and Portuguese workloads.
Guide clients through build-versus-buy decisions, application code portability, and domain adaptation via prompt design, RAG pipelines, and fine-tuning.
Manage proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production launches from initial whiteboard sessions through to a stable go-live.
Collaborate closely with internal Product and Engineering teams to share market insights and help shape the product roadmap.
Author clear technical documentation and runbooks in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, while helping clients navigate regional privacy, security, and data-residency regulations like LGPD.

Requirements

Hold a Computer Science degree or possess equivalent professional experience.
Bring a minimum of 3 years of software engineering or technical consulting experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js, and Go.
Possess hands-on production experience running LiteLLM or a comparable LLM gateway like Portkey, Kong AI Gateway, or custom proxies.
Understand production gateway challenges including rate limits, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failures.
Maintain comfort deploying containerized services on Kubernetes, managing secrets, configuration, and system observability.
Show strong API fluency, event-driven thinking, cloud-native instincts, and familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, VoIP, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
Display the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and lead high-stakes technical conversations directly with customers.
Maintain professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese alongside professional working proficiency in English.
Reside in or near São Paulo with proper authorization to work in Brazil, and accept approximately 10% to 30% travel across the region.

Direct experience with AI voice assistants, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, or conversational AI systems tailored for Latin American Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese.
Fine-tuning and post-training background including LoRA, QQLoRA, model distillation, preference tuning, or evaluation set creation.
Familiarity with inference-serving engines behind gateways such as vLLM, SGLang, TGI, or Ollama, including GPU capacity sizing.
SQL proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
ETL and data-wrangling capabilities alongside solid DevOps fundamentals in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
