Role Overview

Cohere is hiring a remote Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform based in the Middle East to help enterprises implement cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions. This role suits an experienced software engineer who wants to bridge the gap between core technology and customer needs in critical global sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with enterprise clients to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured agentic workflows with defined success metrics.
Lead the design, construction, and deployment of Large Language Model-driven agents capable of reasoning and operating across APIs, tools, and sensitive data.
Develop and deliver features for North, the company workspace platform, spanning the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
Manage use case scopes independently, working across different technical domains like frontend to deliver optimal results.
Create shared patterns and frameworks that support consistent delivery quality across multiple teams and customer accounts.
Travel up to 40 percent of the time to collaborate directly with partners and clients on-site.

Requirements

Hands-on background building and deploying production software using Python.
Experience designing and implementing performant Retrieval-Augmented Generation and agentic systems using patterns like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
Familiarity with the modern LLM stack, including vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and frontier models.
Ability to build evaluation frameworks measuring agent accuracy, safety, and latency.
Strong communication skills to lead technical conversations with enterprise stakeholders and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
Capacity to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous settings with shifting priorities.

Nice to Have

Background setting architectural guidelines for AI and agentic platforms across distributed engineering teams.
Experience working outside core specialties, such as frontend development.
Exposure to regulated industries including healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.
Knowledge of enterprise compliance, security, and auditability requirements for artificial intelligence.

Salary and Benefits
