Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer acts as the technical bridge between HappyRobot and its global enterprise customers located in Mexico. Professionals in this position handle onboarding, integration, and ongoing support while building MVPs and customized AI solutions. The organization operates without rigid hierarchies, giving team members full autonomy to execute projects and drive customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Partner directly with enterprise customers throughout onboarding, implementation, and continued usage of AI products.
Design, build, and deploy new product features, MVPs, and scalable applications that drive positive customer outcomes.
Develop AI and machine learning features, including prompt engineering for large language models, voice tuning, and transcription optimization.
Handle API management and third-party system integrations to guarantee smooth operational performance.
Collaborate closely with internal product, engineering, and customer success units.
Adapt and iterate on technology solutions rapidly based on user feedback and changing business needs.
Prioritize and execute multiple technical projects simultaneously while maintaining strict deadlines and high standards.

Requirements

Strong background in full-stack development using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Practical, hands-on coding proficiency in Python.
Direct experience developing artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, such as LLM prompting and model tuning.
Competence in managing APIs and integrating with external platforms.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Proven capacity to balance multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
Independent founder mindset characterized by extreme accountability, ownership, and adaptability.
