Role Overview

The Finance Systems Integration Lead position at Scale AI in San Francisco involves designing and developing custom integrations, automations, and agent-driven workflows to support internal business operations. Key Responsibilities

Design and construct agent-driven workflows and automation systems spanning People Operations, Recruiting, Finance, and Accounting.
Spot opportunities to replace manual or rules-based procedures with intelligent agentic workflows.
Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to translate unique processes into scalable automated solutions.
Lead full implementation life cycles for end-to-end workflows, covering initial requirements gathering through deployment and validation.
Automate candidate-to-employee transitions across systems such as Greenhouse, HRIS, and internal provisioning platforms.
Build workflow structures to effectively manage employee lifecycle events including onboarding, department transfers, and offboarding.
Establish approval sequences and data synchronization routines across People, Finance, and Recruiting platforms.
Provide robust support for accounting and finance workflows via scalable integrations.
Design foundational integrations and data flows that enable dependable automation and predictable agent behavior.
Set and implement best practices concerning workflow design, system monitoring, error handling, and long-term maintainability.
Collaborate directly with internal data and engineering teams to guarantee automation systems rely on solid data foundations.
Maintain clear documentation covering all integrations, automations, and agent behaviors.
Support broader organizational adoption of automation and AI-enabled workflows by working closely with operational stakeholders.

Requirements

Bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience building integrations and automation workflows across diverse business systems.
Possess hands-on working experience with at least one iPaaS platform such as Workato, Mulesoft, or Boomi.
Demonstrate experience building or experimenting with AI-powered workflows, LLM APIs, or agent-driven systems.
Show direct experience designing workflows centered around employee lifecycle processes like hiring, onboarding, management, and offboarding.
Exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities along with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Possess excellent communication skills with a proven track record of working cross-functionally alongside business stakeholders.
Maintain a builder mindset focused squarely on delivering reliable and scalable technical solutions.

Nice to Have

Holding a Workato Certification is considered a major plus.
Prior experience integrating major Finance systems such as NetSuite or Coupa.
Experience working with payroll platforms including ADP, Deel, or Workday.
Familiarity with People and Recruiting systems such as Workday, BambooHR, or Greenhouse.
Sound understanding of designing reliable, production-ready agentic workflows that feature proper validation, retries, and guardrails.

Salary and Benefits

The full-time base salary range for this position located in San Francisco is $165,600 to $207,000 USD. Total compensation packages also include equity-based compensation subject to Board of Director approval, determined during the interview process based on factors such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
