Role Overview

The Enterprise AI Lead at IRIS Software Group is a full-time, remote position based in the UK where the successful candidate will direct the adoption and governance of enterprise AI tools. This opportunity suits an experienced technology professional who can balance innovation with strict security, compliance, and measurable business value across a fast-growing software organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Own the enterprise AI toolset from a Group IT perspective, encompassing Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Agent Studios, approved connectors, and MCPs.
Evaluate new platform features and technologies to determine their suitability, risks, readiness, and value for controlled deployment.
Define and govern configuration standards, data boundaries, and lifecycle management for department-created AI agents.
Partner closely with Security and Data Protection teams to oversee permissions, risk decisions, and safe data handling practices.
Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and ITAM to manage FinOps activities, licensing budgets, renewals, and cost optimization.
Lead the internal AI Champions network to drive business enablement through playbooks, education, showcases, and office hours.
Measure and report on adoption patterns, risks, costs, and realized value to key business stakeholders and IT leadership.

Requirements

Qualified to A level standard or equivalent, or holding relevant industry experience in digital workplace technology, enterprise tech, or AI governance.
Demonstrated experience in deploying or governing enterprise technology platforms within a complex corporate environment.
Strong working knowledge of AI agents, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Agent Studios, MCPs, or integration productivity tools.
Familiarity with data protection, risk considerations, security, and access controls associated with artificial intelligence.
Experience in establishing operational processes, documentation, and technical standards.
Ability to partner with Finance and ITAM to oversee cost control, usage governance, and software licensing.
Exceptional communication skills with the capability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
