Working closely with account executives, this quota-carrying technologist leads technical deep-dive discovery, maps complex customer infrastructure to tailored architectures, and oversees technical onboarding. AI-augmented workflows and large language models are leveraged to automate routine administrative tasks like RFP responses and sandbox provisioning, allowing the engineer to focus entirely on high-value architectural design and business outcomes.
What you will do
- Partner with account executives to lead technical discovery, map complex customer infrastructure, and deliver tailored presentations for enterprise clients.
- Define success criteria and scoping for proof of concepts and technical evaluations during the sales cycle.
- Oversee technical onboarding and implementation by designing structured migration blueprints and acting as the primary engineering contact.
- Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition, account growth, retention, and strategic cross-sell opportunities.
- Lead technical quarterly business reviews to translate platform capabilities into return on investment for executive stakeholders.
- Utilize AI agents and large language models to automate routine tasks such as security questionnaires and telemetry monitoring.
What you need
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing technical role like solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical account management.
- Ability to whiteboard, design, and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures clearly.
- Strong consultative skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for both engineers and executives.
- Proven track record of operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned commercial environment.
- Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills for bridging implementation details and C-suite strategy.
- Technical depth in at least four specified domains including internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, coding or developer platforms.
