Role Overview

As a Design Engineer at Rogo, the professional joining the team will act as the Polish Czar, ensuring that every detail of the web application feels unified and visually stunning. This position involves taking ownership of the design system, setting the ultimate quality bar for product releases, and crafting browser-native components that delight sophisticated users in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the central authority for polish and craft, adding the crucial final details that create a cohesive, beautiful user experience.
Take full ownership of the design system, working hand-in-hand with both design and engineering teams to continuously evolve it.
Conceptualize and build moments of delight throughout the web and product interface.
Foster and expand upon the high-craft culture within the organization.

Requirements

Strong frontend engineering background combined with a sharp visual eye for design.
Proficiency in React, NextJS, and animation or design libraries like Framer Motion or GSAP.
Ability to build robust, browser-native, DOM-compliant React components with careful attention to accessibility, reusability, and cross-platform needs.
Working knowledge of Figma, specifically for building practical, code-compatible design systems.
Capability to construct scalable, easy-to-maintain, and composable design system elements.
A portfolio displaying diverse web and engineering projects highlighting a deep dedication to detail and craft.
Capacity to think creatively about user experiences and bring joyful interactions to life.
Ability to work out of New York City or willingness to relocate.
