The Deployment Strategist role at HappyRobot in Madrid, Spain is a remote position where you will partner with Forward Deployed Engineers across the full deployment lifecycle of enterprise AI systems. Role Overview

In this position, you will work closely with Forward Deployed Engineers throughout the entire deployment lifecycle, ranging from initial discovery conversations to live production. You will lead use case discovery and scoping with senior enterprise stakeholders, build hands-on prototypes to prove value early, and maintain a strategic lens during delivery. Operating without traditional hierarchy, you will help customers realize maximum business value while keeping technical execution aligned with priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with C-level executives and VPs to assess AI opportunities and prioritize high-impact use cases through curiosity-driven discovery.
Frame business impact and technical effort with rigor to land realistic, high-value deployment plans.
Build prototypes and demos hands-on using the platform and AI-powered coding tools to test ideas quickly.
Coordinate work across active deployments, serving as an escalation point for customers and a watchout partner for engineers.
Sequence use cases within accounts so that each deployment compounds the success of the next.
Act as the main business-side point of contact, building lasting trust with operational and executive stakeholders.
Travel onsite for kickoffs, mapping sessions, and crucial milestones.
Relay field feedback, reusable patterns, and edge cases back to the Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

Background mixing technical depth with strategic instinct, such as engineering, data science, tech startup founding, product management, or technical consulting.
Comfortable coding, primarily in Python, utilizing LLMs and AI-powered tools like Claude Code.
Working understanding of APIs, integrations, and enterprise AI agent workflows.
Strong strategic instinct to translate business workflows into impact, effort, and prioritization metrics.
Excellent communication skills tailored for both executive and operational stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritize ruthlessly across multiple workstreams and drive measurable outcomes.
Founder mindset characterized by high independence, ownership, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
