The Data Scientist, Product Analytics position at Aircall is an on-site role located in the San Francisco office, requiring professionals to work from the location two days per week. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with product and engineering leaders to establish the analytics roadmap and deliver projects focused on feature usage, cohort analysis, and product adoption. Uncover valuable opportunities using product usage metrics to guide customer health and shape the product roadmap. Drive the experimentation culture at Aircall by planning, executing, and evaluating experiments that enhance product performance and adoption. Translate raw data into actionable insights and compelling narratives to guide important business decisions. Partner alongside data engineers to enhance data governance practices, pipeline quality, and the overall data stack.
Requirements
Candidates need three to five years of hands-on technical experience within a high-growth environment. Strong proficiency in SQL is required for extracting insights, alongside operational proficiency in Python. Excellent interpersonal abilities are necessary to communicate complex data concepts clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong data visualization capabilities are essential to transform raw data into clear stories and insights using tools like Hex and Looker. Experience designing rigorous experiments utilizing hypothesis testing and power or significance testing is required. Familiarity with orchestration and pipeline tools such as dbt and Airflow is expected.
Nice to Have
Experience collaborating with data engineering to build and maintain robust pipelines is valuable. Additional experience with lakehouse table formats like Apache Iceberg and distributed data processing using PySpark is considered a strong plus.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 USD.
