Role Overview

The Country Leader for South Korea will build the entire business from the ground up, taking charge of local strategy, revenue growth, and operational performance. This position requires setting the regional vision, managing the local profit and loss, and ensuring a top-tier experience for customers. The professional will serve as the primary public representative of Cognition within the local technology ecosystem while collaborating closely with the global leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Launch and scale all operations in South Korea as the inaugural senior market leader.
Own the regional profit and loss, hiring objectives, sales execution, and overall performance.
Build and manage a high-performing multidisciplinary team spanning engineering, sales, support, customer success, and operations.
Forge strategic alliances and partnerships with major government entities and local enterprises.
Drive complex enterprise sales cycles from start to finish, closing deals both directly and through channel partners.
Establish scalable internal frameworks for successful customer onboarding and implementation.
Deliver critical market feedback to the product and engineering departments regarding localisation and regional feature requirements.
Align regional product-market fit strategies in partnership with global leaders.

Requirements

Ten or more years of leadership experience within South Korea, preferably within fast-growing artificial intelligence or software firms.
Demonstrated history of launching new market operations and scaling disruptive software products.
Established professional relationships and thorough familiarity with the South Korean enterprise and government sectors.
Extensive background in enterprise sales, go-to-market strategies, partnerships, and closing intricate commercial agreements.
Ability to balance high-level strategic planning with direct, hands-on execution.
Full professional fluency in both Korean and English.
Proven capability to recruit and assemble world-class, cross-functional teams from scratch.
Strong enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence.

Nice to Have

Background working in artificial intelligence, enterprise software-as-a-service, or developer tools.
Prior experience within engineering-driven or product-led organisations.
Familiarity with global or United States-based high-growth companies expanding their presence into South Korea.
