Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer contractor role at Pendo is a hybrid position based in Herzliya, Israel, requiring alignment with United States EST hours. Key Responsibilities

Embed directly with clients to design, build, and deploy predictive models using real-world data environments.
Lead technical discovery sessions to evaluate data availability, product analytics maturity, and business processes.
Map client data sources to system requirements and guide IT and data teams through integration procedures.
Present model methodologies, predictions, and accuracy metrics to technical stakeholders and data science teams.
Diagnose and resolve configuration gaps, blockers, and data quality issues in live client environments.
Assist client teams in translating predictive insights into actionable playbooks for Sales, Product, and Customer Success.
Capture field learnings and channel feedback directly back to internal Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of professional background in a technical account management, pre-sales engineering, or comparable client-facing technical position within B2B SaaS.
Strong and practical SQL capabilities, including schema exploration, data modeling, and quality validation in live environments.
Capability to conduct technical discovery and explain complex concepts clearly to business and technical audiences.
High comfort level with ambiguity, independence, and driving momentum without waiting for predefined scopes.
Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Residence in Israel with the capacity to work hybrid from the Herzliya office and maintain US EST working hours.

Nice to Have

Previous background in analytics engineering, data science, data analysis, or BI development.
Practical familiarity with CRM data structures such as Salesforce objects and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse, or BigQuery.
Exposure to product analytics platforms including Pendo, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts covering evaluation, model training, and explainability.
