Cohere builds foundation AI models and end-to-end products designed to solve real-world business problems for enterprises. The Strategy and Business Operations team operates as a force-multiplier across the organization, supporting decision-making on critical C-level topics.
The Business Operations Lead will report to the Head of BizOps and focus on strategy, corporate development, and cross-functional initiatives. Daily responsibilities include building financial models, optimizing pricing and packaging, and driving corporate development activities like fundraising and partnerships.

What you will do
- Collaborate with leaders across product, go-to-market, research, and engineering to influence strategic decisions and build internal consensus.
- Develop financial models and conduct quantitative analyses to evaluate new and existing business opportunities.
- Optimize pricing and packaging structures to ensure offerings remain competitive and profitable.
- Contribute to corporate development functions including fundraising, strategic partnerships, investor relations, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Execute market and competitive analyses to spot emerging trends and identify avenues for growth and innovation.
What you need
- Bring three to four years of top-tier investment banking or investing experience with a focus on software, technology, or digital infrastructure.
- Alternatively, offer two to three years of top-tier consulting experience focused on software and technology, with potential supplementary experience in product or business operations.
- Possess a technical background demonstrated by an undergraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied math, or equivalent software engineering internships.
- Act as a clear communicator who exercises high ownership and a strong bias to action.
- Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities aligned with effective early-stage employee performance expectations.
