About this role
Professionals who thrive in complex environments and enjoy balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution will find this position a natural fit. OpenAI seeks a B2B Marketing Manager to own the integrated marketing strategy and execution across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Operating as a key commercial partner to local sales and go-to-market leadership, this person translates revenue priorities, market insights, and global product launches into locally relevant programs that drive pipeline creation and customer trust.
This broad generalist role spans demand generation, account-based marketing, field and executive events, content, and partnerships. The person in this position will carry clear pipeline goals and work closely with marketing operations to establish campaign infrastructure, attribution reporting, and performance rhythms. Collaboration with the DACH consumer marketing lead ensures that business-to-business and consumer activities remain coordinated and complementary across the region.
Based primarily in Munich, with Berlin open for an exceptional candidate, the role requires regular travel within the region and to London. Success demands strong commercial judgment, a solid grasp of enterprise buying dynamics in DACH, and the ability to navigate a matrixed international organization while personally unblocking delivery when necessary.
What you will do
- Own and execute the integrated DACH B2B marketing plan in alignment with regional priorities, revenue goals, and customer needs.
- Carry specific pipeline goals and demonstrate measurable contributions to pipeline creation, opportunity progression, and revenue outcomes.
- Partner directly with DACH sales and go-to-market leadership on territory planning, target-account prioritization, and quarterly business reviews.
- Design full-funnel programs across field marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing, content, events, and digital channels.
- Work alongside marketing operations to define audiences, track performance, improve attribution, and turn results into clear recommendations.
- Translate global campaigns and product launches into locally relevant programs that reflect DACH market dynamics and customer expectations.
- Build joint initiatives with strategic technology, consulting, and implementation partners to extend reach and contribute to pipeline.
What you need
- Have 12+ years of experience in integrated B2B, regional, field, demand generation, or account-based marketing within enterprise technology, cloud, AI, or SaaS.
- Have a proven track record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue impact through integrated B2B marketing programs in complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Have supported high-value products with long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers, including technical C-suite audiences.
- Have held pipeline goals or comparable commercial targets and can demonstrate how marketing decisions created or accelerated revenue opportunities.
- Have partnered closely with enterprise sellers and sales leadership on account prioritization, pipeline reviews, and executive engagement.
- Are a marketing generalist experienced in connecting multiple channels into a coherent market plan rather than operating in a single discipline.
- Understand DACH enterprise buying dynamics and can translate local customer, industry, cultural, and regulatory context into marketing decisions.
- Are both strategic and hands-on, capable of establishing direction while personally driving high-priority work to completion.
