About this role

Dscout is currently seeking an AI Product Manager to join their team for a remote position based in India. This role suits a professional with a strong product management background who wants to build innovative, model-driven features for a leading UX research platform.

Role Overview

The AI Product Manager will take charge of the roadmap and strategy for model-powered product surfaces, handling everything from initial problem discovery to post-launch evaluation. This position involves managing non-deterministic systems where quality behaves like a distribution rather than a simple pass or fail. The candidate will define evaluation sets, identify failure modes, and determine how much autonomy an AI agent should be granted.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end product roadmap, strategy, and execution for designated AI areas.
Establish evaluation criteria, define evaluation sets, spot failure modes, and plan rollbacks prior to launching new changes.
Prototype product concepts directly using an understanding of model capabilities and limitations, occasionally shipping small, production-ready AI features independently.
Make critical product choices regarding agent autonomy, deciding when independent actions are acceptable and when human intervention is necessary.
Utilize context design and prompting as direct product levers to influence system behavior.
Collaborate with engineering teams on technical architecture, design choices, and trade-offs involving latency, cost, and model selection.
Partner closely with Design and Research teams to guarantee that features remain intuitive and useful.
Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to shape go-to-market messaging, training, and adoption tracking.
Monitor vital metrics for non-deterministic systems, including accuracy distributions, latency, and cost-per-task.

Requirements

Possess 2 to 5 years of product management experience managing an end-to-end roadmap from strategy to launched results.
Demonstrate direct background in launching AI and LLM-powered features into production environments, including managing quality and evaluation decisions.
Maintain a hands-on understanding of the strengths and weaknesses belonging to various LLM families to prototype effectively.
Show technical depth sufficient for architecture discussions and reasoning about engineering trade-offs.
Exhibit comfort with defining evaluation sets and addressing failure modes in non-deterministic systems.
Bring cross-functional collaboration experience connecting product choices to business growth with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Maintain a high ownership mindset focused on outcomes rather than basic deliverables.
Regularly utilize AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, Codex, or OpenClaw to build personal agents or automated workflows.
Bring experience launching features while navigating strict security, compliance, and privacy constraints regarding data retention and third-party sharing.

Nice to Have

Previous experience working with LLM evaluation and observability tooling like LangSmith or Braintrust.
Background in a technical discipline like data science or engineering prior to transitioning into product management.
Background in B2B markets, ideally within spaces adjacent to insights, feedback, or UX research.
Comfort with rapid prototyping and quick spikes that evolve directly into production features.
