The AI Advisory Principal at Scale AI is a hands-on leadership position based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY, tailored for experienced professionals with a strong background in management consulting and artificial intelligence. This role drives the advisory practice by shaping enterprise AI initiatives, leading client discovery phases, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead advisory engagements from start to finish as the Directly Responsible Individual, managing client relationships and facilitating workshops.
Partner with Account Executives during pre-sales meetings to sell advisory services and qualify new opportunities.
Develop and articulate vertical-specific points of view incorporating industry expertise, best practices, and competitor intelligence.
Coordinate cross-functional team members including Solutions Engineers, Designers, Tech Leads, and DSGs during engagements.
Supervise and mentor Consultants, providing performance feedback and supporting their professional growth.
Refine the advisory playbook by capturing field insights and translating successful patterns into reusable approaches.

Requirements

Possess seven or more years of professional work experience, ideally including senior manager or principal equivalent roles at a Tier 1 firm.
Bring demonstrated expertise in AI strategy or digital transformation initiatives.
Exhibit strong scoping, proposal development, and pitching capabilities to secure client engagements.
Demonstrate the technical credibility required to discuss artificial intelligence builds and evaluate technical feasibility.
Apply a classical consulting toolkit spanning operating models, governance, change management, and executive storytelling.
Maintain availability for travel between 30 and 60 percent of the time, which may involve international trips.

Nice to Have

Deep domain expertise in enterprise verticals such as Consumer, Financial and Professional Services, or Healthcare and Life Sciences.
Direct zero-to-one experience in developing or deploying generative AI applications within enterprise environments.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary range of $207,200 to $259,000 USD for full-time positions in designated locations
