Role Overview

The VP, Pricing and Packaging role at Delinea is an executive-level leadership position focused on shaping the monetization strategy across a growing cybersecurity portfolio. Based out of U.S. Remote, this full-time opportunity suits an experienced professional ready to build a dedicated monetization discipline and own pricing architecture from end to end.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain price and packaging architecture across the entire portfolio, including tiering, licensing metrics, add-on structures, and bundling.
Lead the monthly Price Committee by delivering rigorous analysis, financial modeling, clear recommendations, and action registers through to completion.
Establish discount governance policies, pricing bands, and operational guardrails.
Drive monetization strategies for new categories such as non-human identity governance, AI agent identity, StrongDM, and consumption-based licensing.
Ensure commercial readiness for product launches so packaging and pricing ship simultaneously with new capabilities.
Serve as the single source of truth for quoting guidance, pricing, and packaging while partnering with Product Marketing on enablement for sellers.
Monitor price realization, attach rates, and competitive positioning using win/loss data, market benchmarks, and competitor pricing insights.

Requirements

Minimum of 12 years of professional experience spanning pricing strategy, product management, product marketing, or monetization.
At least 5 years of direct experience owning pricing as a named operational function.
Proven history of establishing a monetization function from the ground up, covering governance, cadence, documentation, and analytical processes.
Experience in preparing, presenting, and defending strategic recommendations to a formal pricing committee or equivalent executive decision body.
Demonstrated background in designing tiered enterprise software packaging supported by strong financial modeling skills covering ARR, expansion, pricing impact, and discount optimization.
Ability to establish credibility with executive peers and manage pricing strategies under pressure without direct line authority over sales or finance.

Nice to Have

Background in cybersecurity or identity security markets, such as PAM, IAM, SIEM, endpoint security, machine identity, secrets management, or non-human identity.
Familiarity with consumption-based, usage-based, or outcome-based pricing models alongside traditional seat-based subscriptions.
Working knowledge of CPQ tools like Salesforce CPQ or Apttus, and experience handling pricing through major commercial model transitions or M&A integrations.
Holding an MBA degree.
