Strategic Sourcing Manager, Engineering Technology & Software

Harvey is expanding its finance organization and needs a dedicated professional to manage the procurement of software and engineering technology categories. The person in the job will own vendor negotiations, build sourcing strategies for cloud infrastructure and developer tooling, and partner closely with engineering and legal teams to handle rapid scaling. Operating from the San Francisco headquarters, the team focuses on simplifying processes and making decisive commercial moves as the platform grows.
What you will do
- Manage the sourcing pipeline and category strategy for cloud infrastructure, data platforms, security tooling, and enterprise SaaS.
- Run end-to-end sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and supplier evaluations for new technology purchases.
- Lead commercial negotiations for software agreements covering committed-spend, usage-based pricing, and enterprise licenses.
- Partner with Legal, Security, and Privacy to drive redlines on master services agreements and order forms through Zip.
- Oversee the renewal calendar for technology vendors by preparing negotiation briefs and utilization analysis.
- Build AI-powered sourcing playbooks and tooling for redlining, negotiation preparation, and market benchmarking.
What you need
- Bring four to seven years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience focused on software and technology categories.
- Demonstrate a track record of negotiating enterprise SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or security tooling contracts with major vendors.
- Understand complex software commercial models including per-seat pricing, tiered structures, and committed spend.
- Possess strong analytical skills in unit-cost analysis, total cost of ownership modeling, and market benchmarking.
- Maintain working knowledge of commercial and legal contract terms such as MSAs, order forms, statements of work, and data processing addendums.
- Show hands-on experience running sourcing workflows inside procure-to-pay platforms like Zip.

The salary is between $130,000 and $161,600 USD. The package also offers equity and offers bonus.
