Role Overview

The Strategic Finance, AI Innovation position at Figma is an opportunity for an analytical professional to own and evolve financial planning systems. Based in San Francisco, New York, or remotely within the United States, this role suits candidates with a strong background in finance systems who want to drive automated, intelligent forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the execution of transformational projects by using finance and systems expertise to improve automation and simplicity.
Shape Figma Finance's AI adoption strategy, integrating artificial intelligence into systems and workflows for analysis and forecasting.
Serve as the functional and technical owner of the Pigment financial planning platform, managing its administration, development, and user enablement.
Own the systems roadmap end-to-end, covering prioritization, resource deployment, user acceptance testing, and governance.
Design and evolve systems architecture, optimizing data flows and integrations across the broader company ecosystem.
Partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Engineering, Accounting, and Operations to optimize forecasting and business processes.
Build dashboards and data visualizations to highlight key metrics and business insights.
Establish best practices for systems controls, data governance, and change management.

Requirements

5+ years of experience working in Finance Systems, roadmap execution, or a closely related function.
Strong technical expertise in system design and implementation, data architecture, integrations, and AI automation.
Working knowledge of core financial processes, including O2C, P2P, FP&A, Accounting Operations, and close cycles.
Strong project management skills capable of handling multiple workstreams at the same time.
Clear, structured communication abilities suited for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

Proficiency utilizing SQL and Python.
Background in data science.
Experience managing external resources or consultants.

Salary and Benefits

Annual base salary range of $169,000 to $245,000 USD, with exact compensation determined by individual qualifications, market demands, and location.
