About this role

The Staff Technical Program Manager for Business Technology role at Lambda is an opportunity based out of the San Francisco office involving a hybrid work schedule. This position suits an experienced program management professional ready to build and scale internal systems infrastructure from the ground up at an AI cloud leader.

Role Overview

Lambda is seeking its first dedicated program management hire within the Business Technology department to direct a major business transformation portfolio encompassing roughly ten new enterprise systems this year. This hands-on delivery role requires establishing the portfolio operating model, including intake, prioritization, delivery cadence, and change management discipline. The professional stepping into this position will act as the crucial link across five core pillars: Finance Systems, GTM Systems, Data Platform and Analytics, IT Operations, and People Technology.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end program management for major system implementations across ERP, procurement, EPM, HRIS, treasury, and identity systems.
Run the Business Technology roadmap by maintaining portfolio plans, managing unified intake and prioritization, and surfacing dependencies.
Establish lightweight portfolio governance, featuring stage gates, RAID logs, and real-time visibility for executive leadership.
Serve as the program manager for SOX ITGC readiness workstreams, tracking control design and remediation milestones.
Operate the team's rhythm through weekly status meetings, steering committees, and executive readouts.
Design and operationalize formal change management protocols, including release calendars and freeze windows.
Drive cutover and go-live planning, managing user acceptance testing, readiness reviews, and hypercare exit criteria.
Manage implementation partners and vendor delivery regarding statement of work milestones and change orders.
Communicate program status clearly to executive audiences, detailing what shipped, what slipped, and corrective actions.
Improve program delivery continuously through templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted tooling.

Requirements

Eight or more years of experience in technical program management.
At least four years of hands-on experience running enterprise application or business systems programs such as ERP, CRM, HCM, procurement, EPM, or data platforms.
Successfully carried at least two large implementations end to end as the program owner.
Technical fluency in systems architecture, integrations, and data flows to challenge technical plans and spot hidden dependencies.
Operating history within a SOX or audit-facing environment, understanding change management, access controls, and evidence.
Exceptional upward and sideways communication skills to distill complex multi-workstream programs for leadership.
Strong adaptability and a builder orientation capable of establishing process from zero without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Nice to Have

Direct experience with the company's existing stack, including NetSuite, Salesforce, Coupa, Workday, Pigment, Workato, Okta, Lumos, and BigQuery.
Pre-IPO or IPO readiness program experience, including ITGC remediation or Audit Committee reporting.
Experience with enterprise AI governance, tool approval workflows, or build-versus-buy frameworks for AI-native applications.
Familiarity with AI tooling designed to automate status collection, reporting, and program hygiene.
Professional credentials such as PMP, PgMP, or SAFe.
