Role Overview

Snowflake is hiring a Staff Software Engineer - AI Native Authoring to work within the Snowsight team in Bellevue, WA. The position involves acting as a senior technical leader who influences product direction and fosters technical growth among peers.

Key Responsibilities

Own an area of the product end-to-end with a focus on customer experience, quality, and service health as a domain expert across the stack.
Direct large and complex projects across multiple teams from architectural design to final delivery while balancing strategic trade-offs.
Utilize agentic AI to speed up development processes across languages such as Go, Java, and React.
Collaborate closely with product management and design teams to build scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Anticipate user needs, resolve systemic reliability issues, and plan multi-quarter team roadmaps.
Mentor engineering staff, conduct code and design reviews, and maintain high standards for quality and consistency.

Requirements

Possess 10 or more years of practical software development experience with an emphasis on full stack development and responsive design.
Demonstrate a history of leading large, multi-team projects to successful completion.
Understand modern web application architecture, API design patterns, performance, security, and scalability.
Exhibit technical leadership in navigating ambiguity, driving data-informed decisions, and solving problems independently.
Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats across technical and non-technical disciplines.

Nice to Have

Experience shipping mobile experiences utilizing artificial intelligence.
Background or knowledge in data infrastructure, machine learning, or data development tools.
