Global HR Platform is hiring a full-time Staff Software Engineer to join the Growth Engineering team based in Palo Alto, California, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office collaboration from Monday to Wednesday. Role Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer at Global HR Platform, the professional will lead the architecture and delivery of scalable, user-facing systems designed to improve user acquisition, activation, and retention. The position acts as a technical leader and active practitioner in the AI-augmented development era, guiding full-stack engineering initiatives and championing AI-native workflows to maximize team velocity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex, scalable full-stack systems and services across the Growth domain.
Design and build AI-first, user-facing product features, transforming LLM-powered capabilities into reliable product surfaces.
Champion an AI-first engineering culture by integrating coding assistants like Claude Code and Codex into daily workflows.
Partner closely with product managers, designers, and data teams to define technical roadmaps and deliver business-aligned features.
Establish coding standards, system design benchmarks, testing protocols, and best practices for responsible AI adoption.
Build, optimize, and maintain serverless applications and services using AWS, Postgres, React, and TypeScript.
Mentor engineers across the team, balancing human guidance with AI-augmented professional development.
Conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot high-priority production issues, and maintain high observability and stability standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience with strong full-stack depth in front-end and backend distributed systems.
Hands-on experience designing user-facing AI products and utilizing LLM-powered coding agents to accelerate the software development life cycle.
Deep expertise in TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and React.
Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
Proven track record of leading technical projects from conception to deployment.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, communication, and leadership abilities.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with modern LLM application patterns such as RAG, evaluations, prompt engineering, or agentic frameworks.
Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
Background contributing to or leading open-source projects.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
Experience in growth-focused engineering projects or A/B testing frameworks.
