The Sr.Princ SQA Engineer position at MoneyLion in Chennai is a senior-level full-time role suited for experienced quality professionals with over ten years of background in software quality assurance. Key Responsibilities

Execute hands-on software quality assurance tasks including manual testing fundamentals, test case design, test planning, defect identification, and reporting.
Derive comprehensive test cases directly from requirements while maintaining proactive communication to spot and resolve any requirement gaps.
Apply robust testing methodologies such as functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and edge-case analysis.
Build and utilize mobile test automation frameworks including Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
Manage tests and track defects systematically using tools like Jira and BrowserStack.
Groom the defect backlog continuously and drive issues toward closure with a focus on achieving a zero-defect backlog.
Test native and React Native Android and iOS apps while accounting for mobile-specific concerns like form factors, OS versions, app lifecycles, offline synchronization, and performance.
Leverage modern AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to accelerate test design, automation, debugging, documentation, and release coordination.
Communicate clearly through written and verbal channels to drive project items to closure.
Take full ownership of the testing and release lifecycle while collaborating closely with product, engineering, design, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

Possess approximately 10+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance with senior or principal-level scope and impact.
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
Bring prior coding experience in Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Swift, or demonstrate a strong aptitude to learn automation and scripting on the job.
Demonstrate experience in driving projects, coordinating across teams, and managing release timelines.
Show exposure to app store release processes through platforms like App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
Maintain an awareness of mobile security testing concepts alongside a strategic quality mindset for shaping team culture and establishing metrics.
